08.12.06 Aside from another birthday (yay 3 years old!) A few weeks ago we began a World of Warcraft guild on the Blackwing Server. We're called Alter-Natives, if you'd like to join us pst LunarSkank or Dikodomy. We also added a vent server, check out the forums for news on that. There have been numerous upgrades on the site this last year. Upgraded the forum software and added chat, gallery and a blog that's a integrated into the forum. Enjoy! 06.14.05 Wow a whole year has passed again and we turned 2...yay! New reviews for XBOX 360 and 360 games in the reviews section. Here's to another great year! 05.10.04 Gaymer is a year old this month and to celebrate, the site got a face lift! I hope you enjoy it! This year I have a few goals in mind to achieve. I want the site to have more content rather than being a forum only site. But the forums are still my favorite section. ? Just a quick note...I recently went shopping in this little antique place and happened across a cool piece of gaming nostalgia. It was a magazine called Atari Age from 1982. Apparently there were only 12 issues, but as luck would have it, they had the whole lot! I'm gonna post them issue at a time. I'll pdf the first issue tonight just to get it posted so you can see it. I'll do a html page eventually too cuz I know some ppl hate pdf's. Enjoy! 7.28.03 I think a lot of people are misinterpreting what I'm doing here. The idea is to have a site where gay people who game can come to an on online community and bullshit with each other about games and stuff. A lot of people replied to my newsgroup posts saying what's the point, what difference does it make if you are gay or not, you are just further separating yourself from mainstream society...gamers are gamers. This is not so. I've been to many sites where a reply to someone's post will be "You suck, faggot" or the like. I'm not a militant gay person either, I don't get all up in arms about the word fag, but it does get a bit tiresome. It's not even so much about the use of the word (I use it myself)...it's the mindset of the people who use it in that way. Hopefully this site will evolve into something where people get together and play locally. This is Atlanta and there some homophobic people here. Personally, I'd rather not risk getting some nutcase who wants to crack my skull cracked open. Knowing there are risks like that, wouldn't you want something like this if you were gay? HOWEVER, this isn't only for gay people...I don't know why people are not getting this cuz I posted it every time in the newsgroups. If you are str8, bi whatever...I have no problem at all with you coming on here. Would be great as a matter of fact, but know that there will be gay people at game functions. I have str8 friends who go to gay bars, can be themselves, have a good time and that's that. While I'm not a queen, you can tell I'm gay and there are some str8 bars here I wouldn't go to because I'd get hassled. It's not fair, but that's the way it is. The main point is so that other gay players can come and be themselves and hot have to sweat it. That's what it's all about. 7.21.03 Why a video game site for gay people? Well, I always had a hard time finding other gay people that were into video games, but I knew I couldn't be the only one out there. That's where this site comes in, now I've never run a site before so this is probably going to be a little wobbly at first. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and am hoping to find other people in my area to play. I hope people from other states come by too. Lastly, this is not ONLY for gay people, anyone is welcome! So everyone keep an open mind and have fun. :)
