I played with an iPad last night at the Apple Store. It was a beautiful machine. I'd love to buy one-- but I'd pay $50, maybe $100-- NOT $500.

Psht. It's worth every penny. And I paid $700 for the 64 GB one. It's literally changed how I work, play games, watch tv/movies, surf the web, read books/comics, and communicate.

And I'm still not sure WHY you got the 64GB one, I'm also not happy that you did Mr. That $100 could've been spent on me!

The Marvel app is incredible! And a tip if you're planning on getting the iPad....shoot for the 32gb or higher; those hi-res apps take more space. ::queue The More You Know theme::

I've actually been using ComicZeal so I can d/l comics for free off the interwebz...I know, I know, bad me! But to be perfectly honest, all the stuff I've downloaded to read, I either buy in physical form (Buffy, Angel, etc.) or Jamie did (Fables). So yeh. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yes, but there is no in-app downloading of comics like the other readers. You need to install a small program on your computer that will wirelessly sync the files to your ipad or iphone. The files you can get from sites like torrentz.com or isohunt.com. Go to the site, search for the Buffy Season 8 comics and download the file. Once complete, run the Comic Zeal sync program on your computer and on your ipad/iphone simultaneously and voila! Buffy comics on the iPad.

If any of it is unclear, or you cant find the torrent, message me and I can put them in Dropbox or something for you.

Got mine this week and love it, but I only went for the 16. I figured I would not be putting music on it, I'd use my iphone for that. This will get apps and movies only really.

LOVE the NEtflix and ABC apps, use the kindle on it and my iphone a lot (love that they sync!). In a week when I am away it will get it's first real test with pages and as a laptop stand in. I opted for this over a netbook, which I've been eying for over a year now.

I have already been able to load up a 50+ page document into pages, complete with graphs and tables, and it didn't crash. I was impressed!

No I got a rubber grip case online (not the belkin) that I liked, then a sleeve for it to protect the screen. The apple store now has a buttload of the official cases in, so I might pick one up eventually.

I just bought an HP case for it since the ones I found for the iPad have been overpriced. Also found a backpack for $9 that had a compartment that fit it perfectly.

I ahhh..... Can't find a practical use for it that I can't do already with my laptop and phone but thats just me.
