What games are everyone playing, and what do you recommend? I'm not big into games like Final Fantasy, but rather prefer addictive side scrollers and platform games. I've also been playing Prfessor Layton on an emulator while waiting for things to arrive.

This email is to notify you that your Xbox LIVE account privileges have been temporarily suspended due to inappropriate content in the profile for your gamertag. The inappropriate content was discovered in the Motto, Bio, Location, Name and/or Personal Picture.The following content for the gamertag associated with this Windows Live ID was brought to our attention and was determined to have violated the Code of Conduct and/or Terms of Use:


Bio Ich bin ein homosexueller Mann in einer großen schlechten Stadt. Ich mag kleine Kuchen und Cheeseburgers.

My Bio translates from German into: 'I am a gay man in a big bad city. I like cupcakes and cheeseburgers'.


I contacted XBox Support over the phone about this issue. I was aware they are unable to remove the suspension prior to calling; however, I felt the suspension itself was unjust. I first spoke with an agent, who explained the Terms of Agreement, and Code of Conduct. I explained to them about the updated terms stating that XBox now allows non-explicit gay-themed gamertags, and asked why a Bio line should be any different. The agent was not able to understand this. I requested an escalation to a Supervisor. The supervisor explained and repeated the same things as the agent - ignoring most of my questions, unable to explain the ones she responded to, and was obviously unfamiliar with the subject itself. She kept repeating 'You are not allowed to express your sexual nature publicly on your profile'. She was unable to understand that my preference for the same gender was NOT sexual in any manner. I was told 'it can be seen as offensive'. I then asked her about the complaint that I filed weeks ago about a Gamertag along the lines of '1800SLAPAHO'. She explained that once the complaint was read, and IF the user was found to have an offensive name, they would be suspended as well. I explained to her that I filed that complaint weeks ago, and that person is still active on XBox Live. She had nothing further to add, and explained to me that I would need to 'Submit Feedback' on the XBox Live Website, or 'Post in the support forums' for assistance with lifting the suspension. I requested yet another escalation - this time to a Manager. This manager refused to accept anything outside the Terms of Agreement, or Code of Conduct. Refused to answer ANY questions, or explain anything outside of that. The manager accused me of being sexually explicit, and that the suspension will stay in place due to the 'nature of my bio'.




After getting off the phone with the Manager, I REREAD the Code of Conduct, and I am copying and pasting verbatim - what this code states [As of March 2010]:

According to the Code of Conduct, I AM allowed to express my preference for gender. The word 'homosexueller' is simply German for 'Gay' and therefore follows the Code. The agent, supervisor, and manager all supplied me with INCORRECT information over the course of half an hour. I called back into the XBox Support line. This time I spoke with someone who had some common sense. I explained the situation to him, and explained the updated Code of Conduct. He agreed with me completely. He apologized for the issues I was having, and updated the notes on my support ticket number explaining that the supervisor and manager had both supplied me with misinformation. He was still unable to lift the suspension, and also advised me to go to the support forums for assistance.



So I went to the support forums, and explained the entire thing [Most of which is stated in here, but further notes have been added] and requested this suspension be lifted and/or compensation for the time I have been unjustly revoked services that I should not have lost in the first place, as well as for being told incorrect information provided by a supervisor and manager that does not keep up with their own company's policies. My post was never published to the forums as of yet. It has only been 24 hours, and I'm assuming with the small team they have moderating the forums, it may take a few days. I will post a link if and when it gets published.

All my information on my gamertag has been erased. Name, Location, Motto, and Bio. All branded with 'Code of Conduct'. I cannot play online. I cannot see my friends list. I cannot watch Netflix. Anyhow - as you may or may not know I moved very recently from my home in Pennsylvania to Long Island, NY

in moving, my boyfriend and I decided to do the distance thing for the time being until we were sure about moving in together so far from home (it's a big deal, you know?)

And I tell you this: it's been two weeks.

When we were living together, I would only want sex about 1x per week. He would want it all the time and naturally we would compromise

Now that I'm cut off from regular sex up here, I am going out of my mind. ALL FREAKIN DAY
