Halo 4 Limited Edition Announced

Microsoft announced today its planning to put the bite on you, should you choose to get bitten.  And who doesn’t like that??

The announcement informs us plan Microsoft will be offering up a Halo 4 Limited Edition to the tune of $100.  But fear not, my little gayming kumquats, it might just be worth every penny for you hardcore Halo fans.

What's Included?
This limited edition includes special packaging, access to the War Games map pack.  The map pack includes nine new areas across three future multiplayer add-ons.  Here’s the hitch, Microsoft didn’t specify if the map pack was specific to the Halo 4 Limited Edition version.  However, my bet is on yes.




Also available to buyers of the limited edition, they gain early access to six unlock-able customization options.  We say early access as the options will become available to all players at a later date.  It’s like getting a Christmas present a little early.  We love that!

A Few More Num-Nums
There is still a couple goodies yet to be told.  Included also is UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet.  That includes armor customization diagrams, ship blueprints and secrets of what life as a Spartan Solder entails.  Lastly, you’ll also get special DLC from Xbox Live and a special edition of the yet to be released live action film Halo 4: Forward to Dawn.

Diablo 3 Releases with some hiccups

D Day is here!  Blizzard’s long anticipated game, Diablo 3, has finally released.  However, the release is not without incident.  Some people are having download problems causing would be players a trip to their local game store to get a copy.  Servers get slammed, connections hiccup. These problems are pretty common upon release.  

Many players who were able to download and install Diablo 3 were seeing what’s become the dreaded Error 37, "The servers are busy at this time. Please try again later. (Error 37)".  D3 requires an internet connection to play to even single player.  So after plunking down $60, they were left with gaming blue balls.



There are bigger issues at hand, unfortunately.  Game freezes, force quits and various error messages seem to be plaguing some players. Error 3006 “The Game Breaker” is painful.  Equipping an NPC with the Templar Shield,  found early in the game within the Catherdral Dungeons, causes you to be booted from the server and you will not be able to log back on until Blizzard fixes this issue.  Ouch!  You can reference this in the Blizz forums.

Here is a breakdown of Diablo 3 errors:

Error 108 - Similar to "An unexpected decryption error occurred", the error 108 can be caused by corrupted, damaged or incomplete installation files. This can often times be caused by closing the downloader early. Though the downloader may show 100%, please allow some time for it to fully complete. You may be able to fix this by running the downloader and pointing it to the same saved location so that it may scan and download any missing files.

Error 12 - This error is caused by the Global Play feature being disabled until all regions are active. Please make sure you choose the correct region when starting the game as per this sticky.

Error 33 and 34200 - The service is undergoing maintenance, please try again later.

Error 37 - The server is full. This is likely due to high login traffic. The only solution is to keep trying to log in.

Error 24000 - Once logged in you may run into this error when attempting to start a game. We're aware and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Error 3004, 3006, 3007, or 300008 - There are a number of possible causes for these errors. We've found that one of these suggestions can help.

Error 315300 - If you're sure you're typing your correct account information, check to make sure no additional spaces were added before or after your email address. If you're still running into this issue, there may be an error in your foreign language appdata files. Some players have found a workaround, but please be aware the steps they provide are not something we can currently support.

Gray login button - You need to use your Battle.net email address as your account name. Your BattleTag is a nickname, not your account name.

No License Attached - Please create a BattleTag for your account.

Unable to Initalize Streaming - This error can generally be caused by security software on your computer. During this time, however, it's possible that the error is caused by the number of people hitting the servers. Please double check your firewall settings and try again.

Amazing Alex

Rovio's follow up to the uber successful Angry Birds in development.

Rovio's CEO Mikael Hed spoke to Yle’s breakfast television show this morning about their upcoming title Amazing Alex.

I am a huge fan of every incarnation of Angry Birds so this news excited me more than it probably should for a grown man...and I use that phrase loosely.

Apparently, the main character Alex is a curious little chap who likes to build things.  That's all the details that were given.  The release date is in approximately two months.




Hed is quoted as saying, "The quality pressure is high. We want to maintain the high standard Angry Birds fans have come to enjoy."

Yeap, they might have really tensed sphincters considering Angry Birds has been downloaded over a billion times.  Gulp.

Apple Television Set Confirmed

Foxcon's chairman, Terry Gou, stated friday that the long anticipated Apple television is in the stars, according to China New Daily.

Though production has not begun, preparations have.  Reportedly the set will feature an aluminum construction, Siri, and FaceTime video calling.  There is no expected release date or production start date, but at least we are one step closer to fruition.  Good enough for me right now!
